Cookie Policy
Effective: April 6, 2026
This policy explains how Scylla (operated by 993 Cooper LLC) uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our application at app.scylla.finance.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They help websites remember information about your visit, such as your login status.
2. Cookies We Use
Scylla uses only strictly necessary cookies required for the application to function. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
scylla_session |
Authenticates your login session. Required to access the application. | 24 hours | Strictly necessary |
3. Cookie Attributes
Our session cookie is configured with the following security attributes:
- HttpOnly: Not accessible to JavaScript (prevents XSS theft).
- Secure: Transmitted only over HTTPS.
- SameSite=Strict: Not sent on cross-site requests (prevents CSRF).
- Max-Age: 86,400 seconds (24 hours). You are automatically logged out after this period.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Scylla does not set any third-party cookies. When you connect a bank account through Plaid, Plaid may set its own cookies within the Plaid Link iframe. These are governed by Plaid's Privacy Policy.
5. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, Scylla uses browser localStorage for non-sensitive
UI preferences (e.g., whether you dismissed the beta banner). This data never leaves your device
and is not transmitted to our servers.
6. Managing Cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking the session cookie will prevent you from logging in to Scylla.
7. Changes
If we add non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate consent mechanisms before setting them.
